The Nephilim Hunter

from Audio Fiction Releases: A Cambridge Geek Podcast

Rufus Hardy, Fishcop. After twenty seven years working for the Department of Fish and Game, he’s ready to collect on his pension. But, the universe, it seems, has other plans for him. There are 3 things you can count on as a Ranger in the Olympic National Forest - - Rain, rain, and more rain. 12 feet of rain per-year on the west side of the Olympic Mountains. But, that’s just the average. (Oh, and *maybe *the occasional Starbucks coffee. *Maybe*, meaning the closest Starbucks is over 40 miles away). The Olympic National Park hosts 4 different temperate rainforests. Each one is dense. Each one is dark. Each one hosts old growth trees dating back a thousand years. Now, they host something even older - - and darker. The only thing unusual about this day is the arrival of Officer Joe Simmons, a recent transplant from the Tucson, AZ P.D. He’s come to this idyllic, most remote, Northwest corner of the United States to, “get away from the heat, the dust storms, the 1000 degree heat - - and the gangs,” of Arizona. He should have stayed in Tucson. Link: http://underwoodpress.com/podcasts RSS Feed: https://feeds.buzzsprout.com/2453566.rss
