The New Covenant That Came With Salvation | 3,650 Minutes of Prayer

from Psalms23Wave · host Mathew Sekanjako

This is Day Sixty Nine of 3,650 Minutes of Prayer. Today, the Spirit of God opened our eyes to the reality of Hebrews 8. We have a High Priest seated at the right hand of the Majesty in the heavens. This is the point: we have a Minister of the true sanctuary, which the Lord pitched and not man. The old order served as a copy, but Christ has obtained a more excellent ministry. He stands as the Mediator of a better Covenant, established upon better promises that can never fail. This is the very New Covenant that came with salvation. The Word through Jeremiah was a shout promising a day when God would no longer deal with us based on external stone tablets. In this New Covenant, God has put His laws into our minds and written them upon our hearts. He has become our God, and we have become His people. The first Adam brought a heritage of death, but the Second Adam, our Lord Yeshua, came as a quickening Spirit to bring life. He took on our nature to destroy the works of the devil and to stand as our permanent King and Priest. When our Lord cried "It is finished" on that cross, the legal debt was paid in full. The veil was rent, and the way into the Holy of Holies was made open. We are no longer afar off; we are brought nigh by the blood of this New Covenant. We concluded today with a call for the unsaved to enter into this life. Salvation is near, even in your mouth and heart. By hearing the Word and confessing Jesus as Lord, the transition from death to life is made real. He has ascended to prepare our place and continues His unchanging priesthood for us in the heavens.Interceding & Revelation Scriptures (NKJV)Hebrews 8, 1 2 "Now this is the main point of the things we are saying: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, a Minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord erected, and not man."Jeremiah 31, 31 33 "Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah... I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people."Hebrews 2, 6 7 "What is man that You are mindful of him, or the son of man that You take care of him? You have made him a little lower than the angels; You have crowned him with glory and honor, and set him over the works of Your hands."John 1, 1 3 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made."Romans 10, 9 "That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."Romans 10, 17 "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."John 19, 30 "So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, 'It is finished!' And bowing His head, He gave up His Spirit."Philippians 2, 9 "Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name."Hebrews 7, 2 3 "To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all, first being translated 'king of righteousness,' and then also king of Salem, meaning 'king of peace,' without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God, remains a priest continually."Read the whole of Hebrews Chapter 8.There is One true God, the Creator of all things, revealed in three persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. There is One God and One Spirit Who has redeemed us all. I am Mathew Sekanjako, a believer in our Lord Christ Jesus (Yeshua HaMashiach), the one Son of God. I serve and confess God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. This interceding is offered in faith, in obedience, and in love, for all who will listen.
