The New Martyr Nikḗtas of Nisyros: Faith and Courage

Today we remember New Martyr Nikḗtas of Nisyros, a young man who bravely returned to the Christian faith despite great danger. Born on the island of Nisyros, Nikḗtas was raised as a Muslim after his father converted to save his life, but he later sought to reclaim his baptismal faith. Nikḗtas faced imprisonment, torture, and ultimately martyrdom for refusing to renounce Christ. His steadfastness and courage remain a powerful example of faith and devotion.Support the show
