The New Networking for Business

Thom Singer wrote his first book, "Some Assembly Required: How to make, grow, and keep your business relationships" in 2005. The book sold well and helped him launch a successful speaking career.  But since that time the world has changed. Facebook and LinkedIn barely existed, YouTube was founded the same year. Twitter as still a year from its release, and Instagram was 5 years away. Since his book came out, networking for business has changed.  Or has it? The more things have changed, the more many things have stayed the same. In episode 470 of "Cool Things Entrepreneurs Do" Thom Singer talks about how he has revisited his views on networking and building relationships. The tools that exist today have changed the game, and this has caused him to rewirte all his speeches to be relevant in 2019 and beyond. But much of the message is the same.
