The New Normal: Doubts and Questions are Expected

from City Church San Francisco · host City Church San Francisco

The season of Easter in the church year begs the question: What difference does the resurrection actually make? During this season of Eastertide, we will look at the impact of the resurrection on the earliest Christians.  We are calling it “The New Normal”, and we invite you to consider with us what new things God normalized with the resurrection of Jesus Christ.    Today Rev. Melisa Blankenship preaches on the story of Doubting Thomas found in John 20:19-31.  In this sermon she asks questions such as "What do we do with our doubts?"  or "How do we create safe spaces for others to express doubt?" The story is an invitation to be more human and rest in the peace that we see Jesus bring to his friends when he shows up in the midst of these types of questions. All are welcomed, loved and affirmed (🌈) at City Church.
