Hundreds of fake parking passes were sold online last year and the problem has returned.At the gates of the track, IMS has taken away more than a dozen fake parking passes, turning away fans who unknowingly purchased them. To avoid buying used or counterfeit tickets and parking passes, IMS recommends that fans only purchase from authorized sources.It’s also important to note that all parking is sold out inside the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the Indy 500. Fans should be aware of scammers selling fake tickets and parking passes, as they will not be accepted at the gate.In addition to purchasing from authorized sources, fans should also be wary of buying tickets or parking passes secondhand.
