The Night the Clarksville Viaduct Held Its Breath
from Lighthouse Logs — Fexingo Horror · host Fexingo
A dusty summer evening in rural Indiana, 1997. Luna's cousin Danny takes her to the old railroad viaduct outside Clarksville, a rust-eaten bridge where local kids go to drink beer and dare each other to walk the trestle in the dark. Danny swears he heard something there the week before — a low hum, like the bridge itself was singing. Luna thinks it's just the wind in the steel. But when they climb the embankment and step onto the ties, the air changes. The crickets stop. The hum begins, not from the bridge but from somewhere underneath, where the creek runs black. And then they see the lights — three lanterns, floating in a line down the center of the tracks, moving slow, as if carried by someone walking the ties. Someone who isn't there. This is a story about a dare, a bridge that remembers, and what happens when you look too long into a place that has already decided to keep you. #ClarksvilleViaduct #Indiana #1997 #RailroadBridge #Lanterns #Dare #CousinDanny #Humming #SteelAndRust #SummerNight #Crickets #Disappearing #FootstepsOnTies #LighthouseLogs #FexingoHorror #HorrorPodcast #Anthology #SlowBurnHorror #MaritimeHorror #NauticalTales Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
