The doors opened onto a hallway that should not have existed — a corridor of frosted glass doors with names she did not recognize, lit by a light that was the color of old honey. She pressed the close button. The doors stayed open. A woman in a blue dress stood at the far end, her back to Luna, perfectly still. The elevator did not move again until Luna looked away. When she reached the lobby, the security guard said no one else had signed in that night.
