The Night the Highway Ate the Sound
from Bedtime for the Brave — Fexingo Horror · host Fexingo
Luna tells the story of a dry September night in 1997, on a lonely stretch of Route 17 outside Meridian, Nebraska. Her friend Danny worked the overnight shift at a twenty-four-hour gas station called Ray's, a single pump and a convenience store that sold stale coffee and beef jerky. He called her just after midnight, his voice strange, and said the cars were coming through without drivers. She drove out to meet him, and what they found in the cold blue light of the pumps has stayed with her ever since. This is a story about silence, and the things that fill it when you aren't listening. A story about the space between headlights, and the dark that waits there. #Route17 #MeridianNebraska #RaysGasStation #TheSilence #DannyKowalski #1997 #OverheadLights #BlueLight #StuffedAnimals #BedtimeForTheBrave #FexingoHorror #HorrorPodcast #Anthology #LunaReads #NightShift #DriverlessCars #EmptyRoads #PrairieDark #BedtimeStories #CreepyStories Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
