Cary Stayner is the oldest of five children in the Stayner family and he was born in Merced, CA, in 1961. His family name came to news attention in the 70s when his younger brother, Steven, became the center of a nationally followed child abduction case after being kidnapped at age 7 and held captive for seven years. In 1997, he was hired at a motel just outside of Yosemite National Park, which later came to a national attention... Between February and July 1999, two women and two teenagers disappeared: 42-year-old Carole Sund, her daughter, 15-year-old Juli Sund.
