The NPA has withdrawn racketeering charges against former Hawks General Johan Booysen

SAfm — National Director of Public Prosecutions Shamila Batohi has withdrawn racketeering charges against former Hawks General Johan Booysen and several current and former officers. Batohi took the decision after appointing a panel to review the racketeering authorisations and provide her with a legal opinion. Booysen had been charged by former NPA bosses Nomgcobo Jiba and Shaun Abrahams. Sakina Kamwendo spoke to Bulelwa Makeke, National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson
