And of course games aren’t new to VR, either. Gaming juggernauts of the 90s made attempts to capitalize on virtual reality during the 16 & 32-bit eras, offering unique takes to bring VR to the masses. However, for some, it wasn’t the right time or the right level of technology and VR took a back seat. With the lessons learned from days past, and a rather successful crowdfunding campaign in 2012 that set the rules for VR gaming, the surge in adoption and support is showing that VR isn’t going anywhere.
