The Obelisk Gate- Episode 8

from Spoil Me · host Natasha Kingston

This is the last episode of Obelisk Gate is here, thanks to Denise, who is wonderful and I thank her so much. The way this book ends is really something, lord almighty. We find out exactly what it was that Alabaster was talking about when he told Essun that she had to work on creating a "network". Initially, when she's tapping into the power of the other orogenes, she thinks that's what he must have meant: a network of the orogenes. But once she dips back into that power using an obelisk, she realizes that he meant something quite different, and much bigger. And somewhere else, Nassun can feel the power of what her mother is doing, and she's also learning about the moon getting pulled out of orbit. But she's coming to some very different conclusions on what should be done with it. Thank you so much for listening, and I will see you soon with a new episode!
