Father Williams, his body partially inverted with external organs, shows Margaret the "real Bible" written on living skin, revealing that humanity, Earth, and everything else are just IT's dream of food—the thirty families are actually antibodies trying to wake IT before the dream becomes real and must be properly digested. The priest attacks with the murder knife, declaring himself the true killer this time, as the church transforms into a throat and Margaret flees through a cemetery where every open grave shows her dying repeatedly.
