Do you want to live to be 100? Or 120? Or 200? 你想要活到幾歲呢? Did you know there was a person from France who lived to be 122 years old? It's true! We know for sure that a woman in France really lived for 122 years and 164 days! 法國有一個老奶奶活了122歲! Amazing, huh? Most people, and most animals, don't live that long. Most dogs live for about 10 years. 10 years for a little dog is about 55 human years. 10 years for a big dog is about 65 human years. 大多數的狗可以活10年左右,10歲的小狗可以換算成人類的55歲,10歲的大狗可以換算成65歲。 Some dogs can live longer… like, maybe 15 years. 有一些狗可能可以活15年。 But, there is a dog in America that's now the oldest dog in the world! And, it's a chihuahua! 美國有一隻吉娃娃,是目前世界上最老的狗! This chihuahua has a funny name… TobyKeith… and he was born in January 2001. That means TobyKeith the chihuahua is now 21 years old! Wow! 牠名叫TobyKeith,2001年出生,所以現在已經21歲了。 It's hard to say exactly, but if this chihuahua was a human, he would be about 100 years old! 他換算成人類的年齡,大概有100歲! Wow! The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation.
