The One About Community > Charity With Mamas For Mamas Founder Shannon

from The Papaya Podcast

After her father’s sudden passing, Shannon was left with an inheritance that allowed her to take a community Facebook page into Canada’s first non-profit born and run on social media. Mamas for Mamas is a now a national charitable organization that supports mothers and caregivers (including men, trans, non-binary, and two-spirit clients in crisis) by providing ongoing support to individuals and families facing various poverty-related struggles. This includes emotional poverty. Whether needing support, or wanting to give it, Mamas for Mamas is meant to bridge the gap and make sure that no child or mama is left behind, if Mamas for Mamas can help it. This is an emotionally charged and honest conversation about how charity doesn’t solve poverty but community does.To find out more, or to purchase a ticket for their upcoming event, visit www.mamasformamas.org and follow on IG @MamasforMamas   I'll be hosting a virtual event with Biossance, Oceana, and Sephora on August 17 at 4pm EST all about squalane, sharks, and skincare.
