The One About the Clean Cities Coalition

Riverside County was one of several counties in California that received a failing grade for air quality according to the American Lung Association’s 2019 “State of the Air” report card. The report noted that while Riverside County has seen progress and a steady downward trend in pollution, the area continues to experience elevated pollution, making the airspace generally unhealthy.   In an effort to improve the region’s air quality, WRCOG’s Clean Cities Coalition seeks to reduce the consumption of petroleum fuels by educating and mobilizing local stakeholders.
