And what he asked for revealed everything about who he was.He did not ask for long life or riches or the death of his enemies. He asked for a listening heart, the ability to discern between good and evil so he could govern God's people with justice. The request exposed the man. What you ask for tells the truth about who you are.Jesus and his exhausted disciples tried to escape to a quiet place, but the crowds ran ahead and were waiting when they arrived. Instead of resentment, Jesus felt compassion. He saw them as sheep without a shepherd and began to teach them. Wisdom is not about accumulating knowledge.
