She has appeared in The Sixth Sense, The Chosen, Incendies and Orpheus Descending, to name but a few. Janis is also one of the Glorious Broads, a movement of women age 50 and over who are smashing stereotypes of what it actually means to be a woman of ‘a certain age’. In our conversation, Janis and I talk about being single-minded in pursuit of your passions, how she feels about single life, how she never really wanted to have kids, women taking up space, how it isn’t easy being a man in this day and age, how she feels about ageing, and much more.
