She has also worked on the Rugby World Cup in Japan and the European Football Championships. She is on the Board of Governors at St Mary’s University, Twickenham, and…she is happily single and childfree.    In this conversation, Claire and I discuss her experiences, thoughts and feelings around being a single, childfree woman. We talk about her dislike of the word ‘spinster’, other people’s ideas about having ‘your own’ family, still having to validate herself to some people due to her single status, and how she has never felt uncomfortable being alone.
