In her own words, she was meant to be an unmarried black woman, absent of children, living a joy-filled, fulfilling life. Keturah’s award-winning memoir, No Thanks: Black, Female, and Living in the Martyr-Free Zone, is a collection of essays chronicling her challenges and reflections on living while Black, woman, single and childfree around the globe.
