Rob said they were emphasizing that over the past few weeks so if we’re not going to have possession, I think we gotta be pretty happy with that. 2: In truth, the team played some pretty competent football, which sounds like a low bar to meet but it’s just how the season has been. We held the top team in the West scoreless for 75 minutes. Moreover, we avoided the glaring gaffes. 3: Not happy to see both of the goals chalked off for offside but nonetheless it was nice to see them come from a restart of play and an attack in transition. Both areas have been lacking and that’s been frustrating because they should be strengths of this team. 4: Fortune needs to be playing higher up more often. He’s got real attacking quality and is at his best when he is in a more direct attacking role than he is as an orchestrator in the midfield. 5: Miranchuk coming on didn’t dramatically change things but we did get to see some of his quality. He’s got a pretty sweet left foot that’s well calibrated. That should bode well for future service into the box. If only we had a lethal 9 waiting for said service.
