The Only True Christ Jesus in all the Universe

8-25-2019 Weekly Messages Meditation of the week: Psalms 28:1-9 Text: 1 John 5: 1-21 Title: The Only True Christ Jesus in all the Universe          Apostle John assured us that those who believe that Jesus is the Christ are born of God. His testimony that “Jesus Christ” is the only one who solved the problem of sin, and only through faith in Him could  be righteous, and he alone judged the Devil, the Ruler of the world, that brought sin, death, and curse to the world, He testified that Jesus is the only true Christ who took away the sin of the world.          When Apostle Peter confessed his faith in Jesus, he said, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.” (Matthew 16:16). In other word, Jesus, the Son of God, is only the Christ in heaven and earth. Apostle John wrote about the  reasons why he wrote his book of gospel: ” And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: 31But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”(John 20: 30-31).           When Jesus spoke of the deceptions that will take place in the last days saying:  ” Take heed that no man deceive you. 5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.”(Matthew 24: 4-5) We must remember how many self-proclaimed Christs have appeared in the last two thousand years.         The most representative self-proclaimed Christ is the Roman Catholic’s Popes who have deceived themselves as agents of Christ to rule the earth forever. People such as Buddha and Muhammad are also those who claim to be Christ, and even Moon, Sun Myung of Korean Unification church is also kind of false Christ. Eventually, by integrating all religions through the WCC, the Roman Catholics insist that they can be saved through other Christs, because there is a universal Christ in every other religion. Even Billy Graham, who preached the gospel of Jesus Christ all his life, was deceived by believing that men could be saved by believing in false Christ that is Antichrist in other religions.        Apostle Paul, in fear and trembling, confessed, ” But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.” (1 Cor. 9:27).           Apostle John testified of those who overcome the world and said, ” For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” (1 John 5: 4). In other words, whosoever receives the eternal life by believing in the only true Christ, who saved us from the curse of sin, death, and hell punishment, is the one who overcomes the devil without fear of death. Therefore, Apostle Paul In preaching the Gospel of Christ saying, ” By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.” (1Cor. 15: 2).          There have been so many heroes in human history, but they were all cowards fearing death. But Apostle Paul testified to Christians in Rome, who held faith in the midst of persecution  who  had already received eternal life were far greater than such heroes: ” As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.“(Romans 8: 36-39)        And Apostle John said of Jesus, who is the Christ: ” This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. 7For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.“(1 John 5:6-7)            He also gave a clear witness of true Christians who have received eternal life in this world by believing in Christ Jesus: ” He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. 14And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:“(1 John 5: 12-14)           Apostle Paul urged the Corinthian  to examine themselves whether they were in faith: ” Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? 6But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates.“(2 Corinthians 13: 5-6).         Apostle John testified of the sins that led to death as well as sins not led to death: “If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. 17All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.“(1 John 5: 16-17)  Amen! Hallelujah!
