The Optic Nerds Podcast: Episode 3 (Frightfest 2011 Special Part 1)

from The Optic Nerds Podcast · host jellycast

It's Christmas for horror-lovers everywhere (well, in the UK anyway) as the fantastic horror film festival 'Frightfest' was unleashed upon a ghoulish audience in London's West End during the August bank holiday weekend. As regular attendees, the Optic Nerds have decided to review all 25 films shown throughout the festival over a two-episode Frightfest special! And so, in part 1 (covering Thursday the 25th, Friday the 26th and the first half of Saturday the 27th of August) of this deadly double-bill of dastardly devilry, the 'Nerds review: the Guillermo del Toro-penned "Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark" remake, the latest in the supernatural disaster-fest franchise "Final Destination 5 - 3D," anthology horror "The Theatre Bizarre," psycho-thriller "Rogue River," fatal attraction on a farmyard "The Holding," the Germanic underground nightmare of "Urban Explorers," the recession-based thriller "The Glass Man," splatter comedy "Tucker & Dale Vs. Evil," self-torture porn "Vile," the crazy Norwegian film "Troll Hunter," the kind-of follow-up to The Wicker Man: Robin Hardy's "The Wicker Tree," and social-networking nonsense in "Panic Button." Blimey. It's gonna be a long one!
