The Origin Of Silver

Originally Aired: December 9, 1938The Lone Ranger #916, "The Origin Of Silver," explores the legendary story of how the Lone Ranger came to ride his famous white stallion. The Lone Ranger, accompanied by his faithful companion Tonto, arrives at the Six-Gun Cafe where two outlaws named Butch and Squint are plotting to rob an express office. The criminals plan to capture wild horses from a hidden valley to use as escape mounts, intending to lead any pursuing posse astray. The Lone Ranger overhears their scheme and becomes aware of the sacred valley where untamed horses roam free.In this pristine sanctuary, a magnificent white stallion named Sylvan rules over a peaceful herd alongside his mate Musa. When Musa gives birth to a remarkable white colt, their happiness seems complete. The young colt, destined to become Silver, grows strong and courageous, eventually proving himself as a prince among the herd. However, tragedy strikes when Butch and Squint invade the valley with ropes and guns, threatening the horses' peaceful existence and setting in motion the events that will ultimately bring the legendary stallion and the masked rider together.
