Guy Kawasaki is this week’s guest on “The Jake Dunlap Show.” Before entrepreneurship was cool or everyone was an “evangelist” this gentleman was the first and quickly became Chief Evangelist at Apple where, and this is a quote from Steve Jobs himself, he has made a massive dent in the universe. Guy grew up in a lower middle class family, and his parents sacrificed a lot for him to go to prep school, as they knew the importance of a great education. He attended Stanford University, where he met his roommate and long-time friend, Mike Boich. Following college, Guy’s first job was selling in the jewelry business, and he attributes much of his sales success to lessons he learned there. Later Guy became the Software Evangelist for Apple. Guy worked for Steve Jobs twice, with his second time as Apple’s Chief Evangelist. He has advised and evangelized for hundreds of companies such as Google, Canva, as well as Mercedes Benz where he was paid to drive a Mercedes!.
