The Original Sin in Righteousness

from FROM THE Nth POWER: A Path to Rational Spirituality · host Nicole Devlin

Sin gets a bad rap...people think it's a toxic tradition of some religions. To me, it's actually a measuring stick for how I can be more powerful. There is NO right in me trying to convince anyone of what I believe. What I really want - what is really RIGHT is for me to dialogue to find foundational values for discussion. If I try to control what you think and how you feel, I will suffer. To alleviate suffering and create peace, I allow more space for other people to feel however they do. Being "right" is acknowledging and, sometimes, pulling back. The bulls eye is connection.
