Children & Family Ministries Pastor, Britt Hemphill, talks about "The [other] Great Commission" by considering who the worlds largest people group is and where they are located now and in the next 30 years.   Discussion and Reflection: ------------------------------------------------------------ 1. What role does imagination play in facilitating meaningful interactions with the Word of God? Is there one particular Bible account where imagination has especially added value for you? Read this quote from The Economist article I’m a bad parent because I’ve forgotten my own childhood: “I am haunted by a sense that my life would be richer, more authentic somehow, if I could more easily access a felt connection to my childhood.” Discuss this quote in the context of our relationship with Christ as adults and keeping in mind how Jesus spoke about children. 6. Discuss thoughts and/or ideas about the idea of intergenerational ministry at DCC. (refresher: intergenerational ministry focuses on connecting multiple generations in faith-forming relationships cultivated through times of corporate worship, intentional discipleship, and ongoing mentoring.) 7. Read Luke 18:16. From a personal standpoint, what are you doing to let children come to Jesus?
