Like, an actual staircase right off the beaten path. They lead to an intricately carved, sturdy-looking door at the top. Do I dare approach it? When I peek around, there's nothing on the other side. Still, I take a step up. The wind stirs. Another step. Now it howls. Another step. It blows steady against my back pushing me onward. Another step. Another step. Another step. I open the door. The wind lifts me up off my feet and guides me over the threshold… and everything's changed.
