My friend Kelly (a recovering affected other) and myself (a recovering compulsive gambler) have joined up to create a new monthly series to help give a voice to those who are on the other side of our gambling harm. In this episode we are joined by the ladies (Amy, Brandy, and Robin) from the Northeast Problem Gambling Resources Center part of the NY Council on Problem Gambling to talk about the process of helping affected others of problem gamblers.  Support services come with full financial assistance if we cannot make an insurance match or there are copays or deductibles the family needs help in covering for care. All services are confidential. https://nyproblemgamblinghelp.org/ ONE TO ONE THERAPY SESSIONS ​Available to the individual having difficulties with gambling and their families. Financial assistance available. Telehealth available. Family members can attend sessions together. PEER SUPPORT GROUPS Group recovery support is available in-person, via zoom or phone so families can come together to learn more about gambling addiction and how to support themselves and their loved one. CLINICIAN LED GROUPS Led by our specially trained Problem Gambling Treatment providers to offer therapeutic guidance and support together with other family members impacted by problem gambling.
