9:30am is very early for a rock band, let alone a band from Vancouver, camping out in Toronto to do a round of promotions for their new album Positive Thinking.  Performing in the cellar of the basement of The Whitehouse of Rock at that time also presents its own challenges but once Becky Black plugged in and knocked out “Skin This” and a cover song by The Thermals, it was suddenly Saturday night. After we sat down and talked about the new album (their 6th), which drummer Maya Miller suggests is a new beginning. We get into their roots, their freaky videos and upcoming touring plans.
