The Packers Smallest Draft Class in Decades

Green Bay Packers' strategy and selections during the 2026 NFL Draft. General Manager Brian Gutekunst oversaw a compact six-player class, prioritizing specific talent over high volume by executing multiple trades to move up the board. The draft focused heavily on defensive reinforcements, specifically adding depth at edge rusher and cornerback to bolster a shifting lineup. Conversely, the team's offensive additions were minimal, though they did secure a new interior lineman and a powerful young kicker. Overall, the organization expressed confidence that these newcomers will provide immediate competition and strengthen the roster's long-term outlook.
