The Padres Cling To First As Big Brother Lurks

Dodgers reporters Jack Harris and Dylan Hernandez are joined by their boss, California Post Sports Editor Ryan Kostecka, who is unfortunately a Padres fan and here to gloat after their 1-0 win to open the series. Los Angeles and San Diego have a lot in common besides each having 29 wins, and that includes aging, struggling superstars. For the Dodgers, however, there is hope with Shohei Ohtani starting to come out of his slump.  And Jack makes a strong case that the Padres’ success has been good for the Dodgers.  Kostecka offers a Padres fan’s perspective on the Dodgers and painfully recalls the two times they most crushed his heart.  On their latest Dodgers podcast, the guys get into their weekly analysis of Roki Sasaki, and what they saw from Shohei in San Diego.
