The Paleolithic Diet or Paleo is pretty straight forward. If a caveman didn’t eat it, neither should you. When you follow the Paleo Diet, you can eat anything you could hunt or gather way back in the day – things like meat, fish, nuts, leafy greens, local/seasonal veggies, and seeds. Anything that didn’t exist in caveman times will not make it to your plate or stomach. Many people involved in the Cross Fit program have adopted a Paleo lifestyle. Paleo pioneer Melissa Hartwig has lots of great cookbooks. I have many friends who have tried a "Whole 30" program which is following the tenents of this diet very strictly for 30 days. You might give it a try and see how you feel.
