The Panic of 1819

In this episode, Braden continues the series on financial panics with the Panic of 1819,  the first extended, multi-year crisis in the young nation's history. He talks about how the War of 1812 changed the US economy, how the chartering of the Second Bank of the US contributed to the crisis, and the effects of such a devastating nationwide panic.
