The Parable of the Super Bowl Party

Luke 14:15-24 tells the parable of the banquet. A lot of people were invited but many were thought that they were too good to accept the invitation. And so it went out to everyone. Its the same way with us and God's invitation to salvation. Some people think that they are good enough to get to heaven. So good that they don't need to accept Jesus Christ as their savior, as their invitation to heaven. And so only the poor and needy, only the people who realize that they need Jesus really get to go.Even though Slither wasn't as cool as Rocky, he is the one who gets to go to the party. That's one lucky snake.
