Thank you so much to D'Nique for commissioning this episode! It has been nearly a year since the first time I covered these sections, hence me covering them again in full to refresh myself. D'Nique was able to commission the entire book upfront to ensure its completion, and I'm looking forward to finding out what happened beyond the point I had to leave off reading last time. It's startling how much more frightening this book feels with only one further year of living through the Trump administration. Things that felt out of the question, or at least distant, seem much more immediately possible now, and there's a stark sense of powerlessness that I'm feeling on this side of things that I didn't quite understand before.
