The Parentified Child

Did you have to 'take care' of the 'adult' that is supposed to 'look' after you? Were you the 'grown up' taking care of siblings and doing adult type responsibilities? Did you have to grow up 'quicker' than others due to additional roles that really a child of your age shouldn't be doing?These are some of the issues I raise in today's podcast. In our world we may not recognise that we were in fact the parentified child, or perhaps we might not recognise some of the signs and later impact on us as adults in our relationships as we grow.Support the showThank you for your support.
