The Path of No ReturnPresented by Vincent Cheung I walked the path where wonders once had grown, Where blind eyes opened, tongues in power spoke. The deaf had heard, the Spirit’s truth was shown, And chains of sickness shattered with one stroke. Yet there I met a man whose heart was stone, Who claimed those days of power now had ceased. “No tongues, no visions—miracles are gone,” He scoffed and sneered, “Such things were never leased.” But see his venom, how it turned to bile, When holy works were mocked as strange or vile. To say God’s Spirit no longer grants the gifts, Is blasphemy that makes the sinner drift. For when they call God’s power a thing of lies, Or say the Spirit’s wonders are not real, Their words ascend like smoke to darkened skies, A blasphemy the heavens will not heal. The Pharisees once tread this cursed path, Declaring works of God as devil’s play. Now those who scorn the Spirit face His wrath, For every careless word demands its pay. So let the man who calls the Spirit’s gifts A fraud or sham, consider what he’s done. No path remains for mercy, no reprieve, The unpardonable sin cannot be undone.
