The Patience of Purpose: Equipped for Every Good Work | Pastor Courtney Hall

SCRIPTURE TEXT: 2 Timothy 3:1-17   “These are the times that try men’s souls,” wrote Thomas Paine nearly 250 years ago, but his words describe our times, as well. Some two millennia ago, the Apostle Paul wrote to his protégé Timothy in a similar vein, that trying times lay ahead in which “all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted” (2 Tim 3:12). How can the people of God sustain with patient perseverance in such times, and through all the challenges with which life faces us? Knowing clearly & strongly our abiding PURPOSE in Christ will lend us PATIENCE in the Spirit by which to sustain & even to overcome, equipped by God’s word for “every good work” (2 Tim 3:17).   SUNDAY SERVICE   Dec. 26, 2021   SERIES: Purpose & Patience Sermon Slides
