The Pattaya Apartment Tragedy: The Murder of Mina

In April 2025, the body of Mina, a 25-year-old transgender woman, was discovered in a Pattaya rental apartment after being brutally murdered and mutilated by a 42-year-old Chinese tourist named Fu Tongyuan. Fu was apprehended at Suvarnabhumi Airport while attempting to flee to China, and although he claimed the killing resulted from a dispute over services, surveillance footage showed he had premeditated the act by purchasing tools like scissors and ropes hours before meeting the victim. The case sparked widespread public concern due to the extreme cruelty involved, including the surgical removal of the victim's heart and implants, though authorities have officially denied rumors that the murder was connected to an organized organ trafficking ring.
