The Peanuts Movie Hits the Mark - TWB20

Most of us fans of the Peanuts comic strip and CBS animated movies believed The Peanuts Movie would be a horrible big screen adaptation. How could they ruin something so pure? The fear that the 'big machine" would take something some simple and untainted by box office scores and critical maleficium presented the uncertainty and fear that Charlie Brown would again, miss the football.  But, wait. Lucy did pull the ball away this time. No, she held it in place and ol' Chuck Brown punted his way into another storytelling medium. So how did the Peanuts movie hit the mark? Very simple. The Peanuts Movie stayed true to it's muse. Not only did the adaptation of The Peanuts capture the sensibility of the comic strip, it will also serve as a great compliment to the many animated movies. Quite often it is difficult to transformed something simple into something that requires many hands and more money than the creator Charles Shultz ever earned from the many years and over 18,000 strips he drew single handily, but somehow they got it right. From the jumpy animation to the exact details of Charlie Brown's hair, The Peanuts Movie, deserves a place in the upper echelon of successful page to screen adaptations. In This Peanuts Episode: Give That Kid A Zanax If Charlie Brown were Chuck Brown of 2015, he most likely would be place on some sort of drug for depression. Sad but we know it's true. Studies prove that too many children these days are prescribed drugs to help them cope with feelings kids back in the 1930's had no means treat. Charles Shultz himself suffered from some type of psychological disengagement from the world around him. Kids and Sexual Behavior How old were The Peanuts kids? They dealt with a lot of heavy being only adolescence. Linus was a shrink to Charlie and kids could consult with Lucy for only a nickel. Maybe we should stop fooling ourselves; kids aren't innocent and question life and their bodies. We as parents just don't need to know unless it becomes more that just adolescence curiosity. Megan Trainor Dancing equals movement and Megan Trainor should just stop all together. Did anyone else think that the use of modern music was, say, out of place in film? The Dance Zombie kid rocks, PigPen is a time traveler from the 1930's and Franklin's fade. The Regular Kid The evolution of Franklin, the first Black Peanuts character, is quite endearing. Snoopy and The Red Baron Another hit the mark moment. I loved Snoopy and The Red Baron tales and the movie really captured the great iconic moments of that battle between the plane and the doghouse. Kristin Chenoweth as Fifi After watching the credits, it was discover that Kristin Chenoweth played Fifi, Snoopy's mute love interest. Why?
