The Perils of Being an Empath

For those among us who've been "gifted" with the ability to perceive and experience the emotions of others, we know it is as much a curse as a blessing. Tonight we will delve more deeply into a state of being which is challenging, at best. We will discuss empathy as an integral element of the human condition, an emotional whirlwind of reactions to those who might be suffering some unspoken pain or sharing their plight with others. A vital part of our awakening is to let it in, not shun it because it all hurts too much. Shall we be brave enough to absorb it? Let's walk together and talk about the path to enlightenment. It may well be paved with pain.
