The Perks & Pitfalls with Rachel Perkins | A Frugal Athlete

from The OK U GO Show · host Amobi Okugo

In this episode, Amobi chats with the founder of Perks Lifestyle Management Rachel Perkins about the different ways athletes can best prepare for their off the field worries, how to properly assess deals from brands, and the do's and don'ts when working with companies.  After Graduating from UGA in 2016 with a Marketing Degree and a Digital Media Certificate, Rachel has spent most of her career in the sports + entertainment industries. With the Atlanta Braves, IMG College in Athens, the UGA Hockey Team and Creative Artists Agency (CAA Sports) among her resume, she left the agency world in 2018 and fell into her entrepreneurial journey at the age of 24. After working in Client Services at CAA Sports and managing over 60 NFL players, she realized her strong passion for helping young athletes learn the life skills necessary for off-field/court success. Her work ethic and extensive trust among clients led to an incredible opportunity to start her own company, PERKS Lifestyle Management, in which she assists clients with personal and professional development early in their careers, setting them up for long-term success.
