THE PILOT’S STRIPES
from Good News Daily · host Uebert and Beverly Angel
1 Corinthians 15:58 (KJV) Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. In aviation, pilot stripes indicate rank and responsibility. One or two stripes denote a trainee or junior pilot, three identify a fully qualified first officer, and four represent the captain, the pilot in command. The number of stripes reflects the years of dedication invested in their craft. Before the outward manifestation of a pilot’s work is seen, years of dedication precede it, all of which are ultimately rewarded. In the same way, the work you put into advancing the Kingdom of God does not go unnoticed. As you faithfully serve and grow, your “stripes” begin to show. Your level of responsibility increases, and the fruit of your labour becomes evident. Devote yourself to God’s call on your life and witness His blessings pour into your life. PRAYER FOR TODAY Father, thank You for allowing me to serve You diligently. I know that with a mindset set on You, I can never fail. PROPHETIC DECLARATION I live a life of devotion to God and His work! As I serve Him with dedication, my spiritual “stripes” are being revealed! As my responsibilities grow, so do God’s blessings on my life. FURTHER STUDY Hebrews 6:10 365 BIBLE CHALLENGE – DAY 274 Luke 19:1-27; Psalms 103-104
