We are officially counting down to our 10th anniversary of the show with an episode landing on August 31st 2023. Marking this milestone and at the behest of you dear dear listeners, we are dropping an episode every day with the theme being my Top 10 Favourite Horror movies of All Time (or at least until I change them again on September 1st 2023). At Number 2 is a movie which is the very definition of cinematic masterpiece. Stanley Kubrick didn’t come from a pedigree of making horror cinema but given the rights to adapt one of the scariest novel by one of the scariest authors of all time, you know something is going to be special here. The final result is The Shining (1980), a movie which almost transcends the genre and is full of incredible performances, cinematic porn and a score to die for.
