We are officially counting down to our 10th anniversary of the show with an episode landing on August 31st 2023. Marking this milestone and at the behest of you dear dear listeners, we are dropping an episode every day with the theme being my Top 10 Favourite Horror movies of All Time (or at least until I change them again on September 1st 2023). At Number 1 is just my favourite horror movie of all time!! The Thing (1982) is peak John Carpenter at his most nihilistic and focused storytelling self. Possibly the best Science Fiction horror of all time, Possibly the best remake of all time, Possible the best practical effects of all time and more certainly one of the most awesome horror movies ever made. It took a little longer than I think John Carpenter expected for this movie to find its audience but at this point it is overtaking The Thing itself in how fast the love has spread.
