He rather encourages us to take life one step at a time. We do it; one mistake at a time, one sad story at a time, one happy moment at a time, one milestone at a time, one life achievement at a time, one train just missed at a time [ugh!!], one getting splashed by the infinity driver on the wet rainy day rushing to the job you’re already late for… at a time [love my life 🥲], one getting home sitting on your couch after a long day only to realize that what you’re smelling is not the new scent plug in lavender air-wick you just got at CVS, but irresponsible and #imperfect blonde’s fury friends chewed up and half digested dog chow, at a time…one step…on the road we call life…at a time. Even when there are bumps in the road we have to stay focused and committed to who we are and what we represent. “The race is not for the swift, but for those who can endure to the end.”We live in a world filled with imperfections, and subsequentially embody imperfect experiences. The perfect job, the perfect spouse, the perfect house, the perfect car, the perfect hair growth product [trust me, I’ve tried them all], the perfect train schedule [talk to me when you’re late for an appointment and get stuck on that 2 train], the perfect friend, the perfect family, the perfect church, the perfect world…does not exist.
