The Political Illusion

Politics matters, but it cannot save society. Scripture limits the power of both church and state, placing responsibility primarily on covenant individuals and families. When politics is treated as a mechanism for salvation whether through constitutions, democracy, or popular will it becomes a false religion that promises moral renewal through coercion rather than transformation. No political system can regenerate men or create a righteous society. Only a morally renewed people, under Christ’s lordship, can sustain true order and freedom. Salvation by politics is an illusion; lasting renewal comes only through Christ and obedience to God’s Word in every area of life.
