We’re attempting to reframe the narrative around conservation to show that conservation successes are possible through changes in attitude and implementation of intentional change. In this episode of The Possibilists we talk to Dr. Hila Shamon on World Bison Day! Dr. Shamon is a landscape ecologist and mammalogist at Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute’s Conservation Ecology Center. Shamon’s research interests focus on anthropogenic activity and land use changes effects on terrestrial mammals’ distribution and densities across large landscape gradients. Today we talk about her work with the American Bison and Swift Fox in and around Montana where she lives. She is doing so much amazing work for both species, so thank you to the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute for their help and time and all of the work they do!
